Through my work with Norwex, I’ve had the good fortune to meet the most incredible people. (I’m doubly blessed because so many of them collaborate with me on a daily basis as members of my Go Green Team!)
Independent Norwex Consultants come from cities, towns and villages from all corners of the country and all backgrounds. They find their way to Norwex for a variety of reasons. A concern for the environment, an interest in a healthy, sustainable lifestyle, a desire to save time and money on cleaning, or a need to earn income on a flexible schedule, may drive their decision to sign on.
The one thing we all have in common, though, is that we get so much more out of our experience than we ever expected including being part of a great community and having a lot of fun while sharing our passion for Norwex’s products and mission and creating safe havens.
If you are considering a career with Norwex, I encourage you to be inspired by the experiences shared by the consultants and leaders in the Go Green Team. You’ll find that they started out with the same concerns and questions you may have, and overcame them to build thriving businesses and change their lives.

My Journey
Title within Norwex: Senior Executive Sales Leader (Red Jacket)
Where you can find me online: nbmader.norwex.biz
How long I have been with the company: 2 ½ years. I joined in 2014.
Where I live now, and where I am originally from: College Station, Texas. I was born in Texas, but I also have lived in Wyoming, Colorado and Missouri.
How and why I started selling Norwex: I wanted spending money!
What has surprised me most in my Norwex journey: That I could love a product line this much and have such a passion for sharing it with others.
The most difficult challenge I have faced to get to where I am within Norwex — and how I overcame it: Have I overcome my challenge? Well, I’m working on that. I still can’t believe that six months ago, on June 24, 2016, my husband Kelly died. It still seems unreal. We didn’t know he had heart disease. He had just had a physical. So how can his death be real, I ask myself a lot. But here I am. Married for 40 years and since the early age of 18. No college degree, no life insurance to support me and just under the eligible age to collect Kelly’s Social Security.
I have said many times, “Thank God for Norwex!” since joining the company — but after Kelly’s death, I have to confess that my sentiment became more of a “Are you kidding me? All I have is Norwex?”
I was faced with sink-or-swim time.
By the grace of God, I chose to swim. Norwex became my full-time job. But some members of my family were skeptical — and you really should see the look on a financial planner’s face when you explain you are counting on a multi-level marketing company to support yourself.
Every time I have been ready to throw in the towel, God has blessed my business with another party or a new team recruit. I get more excited about working hard — but I’m not going to candy coat any of this: My life has been hard over the past six months.I have been learning to live without the love of my life and have had to sell most of what we acquired and leave the house we built together just six short years ago. Yet, my life also has seen the unwavering love and support of family and friends (my children are amazing). I have witnessed seemingly countless prayers and experienced a closer walk with my Savior than I ever would have thought possible. I could even see God’s hand at work again last month, when he supplied a cash buyer for my home and a closing in two weeks. In December of all months!
I know the work is not over. I know the will to keep working hard will be a daily battle to be fought. But, I have hope in God’s provision, and I am so thankful to the Norwex family for their support.
The one piece of advice I have for a beginner consultant that I wish I had been given — or had taken more to heart: The resources are there! Go get them! Don’t expect others to hold your hand and do it for you! Get with other consultants, and brainstorm together!
How I balance selling for Norwex and time for myself, my family and my friends: My family lives all over the United States. I do parties/demos when I visit, and that work help pay for my trip. Also, the travel has enabled me to build a team of consultants living in different states.
My favorite Norwex product: Decisions, decisions. The Body Cloth is irreplaceable — and I use the UPP laundry detergent everywhere!
My favorite themed party to sell at: I love themed parties — and my favorite is “Camping with Norwex.”
My hobbies: I love tennis and play at a decent level. A foot injury has kept me off the court for a couple of years, but I love to watch professional tennis matches. Also, my personal theme is “Norwex: Supporting my quilting fetish!” I can spend hours in a good quilt shop.
