You’d think approaching a business about Norwex is not the same as hosting a party with friends and family. It can be daunting. You are dealing with busy professionals who are keeping a sharp eye on the bottom line — and, they don’t have to be nice to you.
But what I have learned while working my business as an independent Norwex consultant is that just like family, friends and acquaintances, business owners love Norwex for the long-term savings, quick and efficient cleaning power, and for reducing the number of chemicals to which their employees and clients are exposed.
Realizing, over time, that almost everyone I approach — whether a friend or CEO of a company — truly appreciates that I shared Norwex with them has done wonders for my confidence and opened so many new doors for my business.
Rich Berman is one example of a small business owner who couldn’t be happier about his decision to give Norwex a try. He has been using Norwex Cloths and the Mop System for years to keep his home and Tennis School in Erie, Colorado, spotless. That’s not always easy as anyone who has spent time in a gym or sports facility will tell you.
Rich’s Tennis School’s mission is to introduce everyone to “one of the best sports of all time” by showing them the life-long rewards of the game. The school serves players of all ages and abilities and runs an extremely successful wheelchair tennis program. (In fact, Rich is one of very few wheelchair tennis instructors in the nation and formerly coached David Hall, a six-time No. 1 wheelchair player in the world.)
Rich recently retired from full-time tennis instruction and serves the school bearing his name as a senior advisor — but the busy facility’s staff continue the Norwex tradition he started. With people coming in and out all day, they need to be able to do quick cleanups periodically. Their weapon of choice against dirt is the EnviroCloth, which the team uses to wipe down equipment and clean bathrooms. It gets rid of dust, grime and grease from all washable surfaces using only water. Made with Norwex’s exclusive BacLock agent, the EnviroCloth also can remove up to 99 percent of bacteria from a surface when following the proper care and use instructions.
For tile flooring in the bathrooms and elsewhere, the team uses the Mop Collection. The microfiber (also made with BacLock) or polyester mop pads lift and trap even the tiniest particles of dirt and debris using only water. Best of all, floors dry quickly and stay cleaner longer with no chemical residue to attract and hold dirt and grime.
Norwex’s Rubber Brush comes in handy for removing tennis ball fuzz from ball machines.
Rich says the switch to Norwex has been a win-win for the business. Employees no longer have to lug around cleaning supplies, including heavy buckets or paper towels. Rich is pleased the facility can be cleaned quickly without the use of chemicals that might agitate customers with allergies and odor sensitivity. Although he has not tracked how much money using Norwex has saved the business, Rich said he is glad to be making fewer trips to the store to pick up supplies.
Business owners are looking for the same things so many of us are at home: less time cleaning, fewer supplies and safe havens — and Norwex delivers.
